Winter Carnival
From the last week in January into the first week of February, St. Paul hosts an annual Winter Carnival. The 125-year-old event celebrates the winter months in the city and features a number of seasonal activities. Hundreds of thousands of visitors enjoy watching parades, ice skating, skiing and snowshoeing along with a variety of games. The event features ice sculpture exhibits and rides that include toboggan slides along with beverage and food booths.

Summer Immersion Arts Camp
The ArtStart organization provides education in the arts for adults and children by hosting a number of special events in St. Paul, Minnesota, throughout the year. Many of the festivities are specially designed for children. This includes the Summer Immersion Arts Camp, which takes place in July and lasts for two weeks. Themes of the camp vary but center around different countries and regions from around the world. During the event, visitors learn about various cultures through art, dance, drama and music.

Highland Fest

Selby Jazz Festival
Music festivals comprise some of the special events in St. Paul, Minnesota, and in September, the city hosts the annual Selby Jazz Festival. Visitors come from all cultures, financial backgrounds and professions for the purpose of celebrating jazz. The event hosts a number of entertainment performers and offers a wide selection of cuisines that includes soul food. African-American artists also present a cultural art exhibit. Activities and games entertain visitors of all ages.
